How it started
We first had the idea for Reecit back in 2015. We could see that receipts — both paper and digital — were a mess that nobody had solved properly. But the timing wasn''t right. The technology wasn''t there, and people weren''t ready to change how they dealt with their receipts.
Fast forward to today, and the world has caught up. Email receipts are everywhere. People are used to forwarding, scanning, and managing things digitally. So we decided to give it another shot — this time with AI-powered OCR, smart chain identification, and a platform built from the ground up for the European market.
Reecit exists because we believe you shouldn''t have to dig through old emails to find a receipt, or lose a warranty claim because you threw away a piece of paper. Every receipt you''ve ever received should be searchable, organized, and useful — and that''s exactly what we''re building.
Our Mission
Make paper receipts a thing of the past. We want every receipt — whether it''s an email confirmation, a PDF attachment, or a photo of a till slip — to be captured, extracted, and organized automatically.
Looking ahead, we''re working towards direct integrations with point-of-sale systems so your receipts flow straight into Reecit without you lifting a finger.
