Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Reecit ("the Service"), operated by Southbank Software Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Reecit is a receipt management platform that provides the following services:

  • Receipt upload and storage
  • AI-powered OCR processing and data extraction
  • Receipt organisation and categorisation
  • Receipt sharing
  • Spending analytics and insights

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

To use Reecit, you must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
  • Maintain only one account per person.
  • Be at least 16 years of age.

You are responsible for notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account.

4. User Content

You retain full ownership of all receipts, images, and data you upload to Reecit. We do not claim ownership of your content.

By uploading content to the Service, you grant Reecit a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you. This licence terminates when you delete your content or your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal activities or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems and networks.
  • Engage in scraping, automated data collection, or use bots against the Service without our written permission.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.

6. Subscription & Billing

Reecit offers a free tier with usage limits. Paid subscriptions are available for additional features and capacity.

  • Payment processing — All payments are handled securely via Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
  • Price changes — We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days'' written notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.
  • Cancellation — You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until then.
  • Refunds — No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

7. Intellectual Property

The Reecit name, logo, design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of Southbank Software Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our platform, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, unless applicable law permits it or you have our written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reecit and Southbank Software Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Data loss beyond reasonable backup measures we have in place.
  • Service interruptions, whether planned or unplanned.
  • Actions or omissions of third parties.
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may terminate by closing your account through the Service settings.

Upon termination:

  • You will have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted.
  • After 30 days, all your data, including receipts and account information, will be irreversibly deleted from our systems.

Reecit reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms of Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days'' written notice of any material changes via email or in-app notification.

Your continued use of the Service after the updated terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised terms, you should discontinue your use of the Service.
